About Don't Be Afraid of Mars
Why venture from the only home ever known to a great space of waste? There is a distinctive siren call from absurd ambition to
take humanity into the stars thus scratching another indefinable itch and at the same time solving one of Earth biggest problems.
At the dawn of the 22nd century humanity has been saved by the Unity company. A conglomeration of worldwide entities with the
benevolent mission of providing every person with a standard living wage. Their next challenge is dealing with the mass
overpopulation that has exploded due to Unity’s boundless generosity. Extending their philanthropy to those who have been left behind
by automation and been deemed as a useless class of society that will become colonists of the stars. Giving them the opportunity
to have purpose in life, something craved by them beyond life itself.
Tanisra is one of these people. She is one of the first seven selected to take part in the Beyond Earth project. To leave Earth
indefinitely and to take part in the dawn of space fairing pioneers. There is a problem however. Unity may not have the best interests
of the Martian colonists as they have been led to believe. These implications are combined with a bizarre series of accidents that make
many of the people taking part realize that leaving Earth may not have been the best decision. Just as we have done throughout our
history, humanity finds it difficult to leave well enough alone.
