“Pinkie” follows the story of Max and his wife Pholoso, a newlywed couple who moved from South Africa to the UK to start a new life. They encounter several challenges in their new surroundings, including bad weather, disappointing food, and limited job prospects. Yet worst of all, deep from the myths of accident Spedi history a malevolent curse has followed them. A terrifying supernatural being known as Pinkie, Pinkie intends to take Pholoso for their own. While Max denies the curse’s existence and doesn’t take the necessary precautions, the entity grows stronger, and their marriage and Pholoso’s life are put in peril. The novel deals with modern problems, such as the challenges faced by young couples in an unfamiliar climate, aimlessness, cultural differences, interracial relationships, and sexuality.
